Bangladesh Premier League resumed on Saturday after a month-long break with Saif Sporting Club defeating Nofel Sporting Club by a solitary goal in the first match of the day at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
South Korean forward Seungil Park scored the all-important goal in the 13th minute of the game to give Saif their sixth win in the league. Park placed the ball home with his left foot from inside the box after receiving a pass from midfielder Md. Shadin.
After the goal, Saif controlled the rest of the match, forming some fruitless attacks while Nofel could hardly create any chances.
With the win, Saif retained their fourth place on the table with 20 points from 10 outings while Nofel remained in 10th place with eight points from the same number of matches.
