Saif Sporting Club captain and midfielder Jamal Bhuiyan returned to action after a two-game suspensions with a goal as the club concluded their Bangladesh Premier League fixtures with a 3-1 win over Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra at Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh Thursday.
Jamal opened the scoring in the opening half before Muktijoddha’s Japanese midfielder Yusuke Kato cancelled the lead from a penalty six minutes later.
Saif’s young forward Foysal Ahmed Fahim and Mohamed Shajjad Hossain added one apiece in the last two minutes of stipulated time to salvage all three points.
Saif finished the league at fourth with 47 points, while Muktijoddha remained at seventh with 26 points.
